Girls Night In

Welcome to Girls Night In.

We’ll be celebrating our female spirit tonight and reveling in the freedom to express who we are with beauty and behavior befitting our respectable selves. We’re going to share the enjoyment of ourselves with each other.

We’re going to crack a bottle of wine or make a pot of tea (if you’re off the booze) and yak about makeup and fashions, hairstyles and diets and we’ll mention the unmentionables, once we get comfortable. Heck, if we like what the radio’s playing, we might even dance.

Have you ever been to a wig party? They are so much fun! Hairstyles say so much about a person. Yes, first the wig has to look like it could be your real hair. That’s a given. But then it’s all about mood, and vibe and attitude. At a wig party, everyone has a nice big hand mirror .  An enormous supply of wigs is presented and everyone just free-for-alls into these wigs and starts trying them on.  Try long hair, then short hair, try curly then straight, wild colors and bangs. Wigs transform a person. Prepare to take lots of selfies. And do you know the best thing about Wig parties is they’re just as much fun with a party of one.

For fun with wigs go here. This is a beautiful collection called Absolutely Passable.  I’m sure you’re going to love every one. The most important thing is to find the fun. Do you remember that wonderful song by Cyndi Lauper, Girls Just Want to Have Fun? Well that’s the mood you want for trying on wigs.

Here’s to super fun girls night in.

In kindness and fun,

“Beauty is about perception, not perfection. You can’t put on make-up, or dress yourself, or do your hair with any sort of fun or joy if you’re doing it from a position of correction.”

  1. Hey, this is a very nice site, I really like the theme and the topic, it’s something new for me, I have never tried any wigs:) Interesting reading overall, nicely explained and easily understandable for a reader. Refereshing info:) great font and colors also…
Thanks a lot for sharing this, good luck and cheers

    • Thank you so much for visiting my site and taking the time to look around and read my page on having fun with wigs. Wigs are inherently fun because they can have a huge impact on your image. Wild hairstyle changes in a short time can expose you to many sides of your own personality. I spoke of wig parties but the best fun ever with wigs is on your ownsome. Just you, the mirror and the wigs. Glad you liked your visit. I hope to see you again.

  2. What an original and great niche for a website. I’d like to think that society is slowly becoming more accepting of trans individuals but having a site where they can reach out to like minded infpdividuals for support and fun, would be very valuable to them. I’d never heard of a wig party before but it sounds like an absolute blast. Doing it with a group of friends and some pitchers of margarita would be spectacular. Have you attended many wig parties?

    • First, thank you so much for visiting my site and enjoying my page on fun with wigs. I agree, that acceptance of gender difference will be a gradual evolution, but it’s an irresistible one.

Yes, I’ve attended two wig parties. The first was at the home of a friend who used to sell wigs, so she was able to supply a huge array of wigs samples she had collected over the years. She had kept them all very nicely in a case. That was so much fun . The second wig party I went to was where everyone brought a wig or two and hung them on the “wig tree”. That was in a beauty salon so there were plenty of mirrors. Those hairdressers sure knew how to party.

      Please drop by again.

  3. I love the passion within your site and the diversity of interest. I have a marijuana inspired blog so I get a lot of hate and love on the topic, im sure you get it. I havent ever done it but I feel like a wig party would be kind of dope! whether you are a guy or a girl or transgender!

    • Hi Matt, Thanks so much for visiting my site and leaving your comment. I’m grateful to say that I don’t receive negative comments about my site. I think that most readers have expanded enough awareness to appreciate that love and joy is available for all regardless of your gender expression. I hope you visit again.

      Thanks so much
